You do not want to miss this!
We here at the California State University, Fullerton Pilipino American Student Association (CSUF PASA Kaibigan) cordially invite you and your organization to participate at the 26th Anniversary of Friendship Games. If you have never attended Friendship Games, it is an experience like no other. Memories made here last a lifetime and an opportunity is created to celebrate what we hold most dear: Spirit, Pride, Unity, and Friendship.
What Is Friendship Games?
PASA Friendship Games — the largest student-run Filpino-American event in the nation — is a highly anticipated event with over 7,000 individuals from over 40 colleges and universities across the nation that come together to play fun, friendly, and competitive picnic games. Friendship Games has become more than just picnic games, it is also a day of unforgettable entertainment from morning to night with roll-call and cheer performances, our star studded half-time show, and of course the famous Friendship Games after party hosted by 21XL Events Co.
Held in late October on a field at California State University, Fullerton, Friendship Games has come to represent more than just Filipino American college students. This is a time when old friends reunite and where new friendships form, coming together to celebrate the Pilipino heritage. Covered internationally by the press, Friendship Games has become a staple of the Filipino American college experience and promotes Spirit, Pride, Unity, and Friendship to the many diverse walks of life in America.
HISTORY OF FRIENDSHIP GAMES
Friendship Games began in 1985 for the sole purpose of bringing together cultural clubs from various college campuses across Southern California. What started off as a fun and friendly picnic has now become the largest student-run Filipino American gathering in the world. The very first champion of the picnic games, Kasama, hailed from Mt. San Antonio College.
Last year at the 25th Anniversary, San Jose State University took home the coveted S.P.U.F. (Spirit, Pride, Unity & Friendship) trophy as well as 1st Place in the games. Coming in 2nd place, San Francisco State University and 3rd place UC Santa Barbera. This year, twenty-six years later, Friendship Games has become the highlight event of the Filipino American college life.
Is your organization going to take home the famous 8-foot trophy this year?
