“Change is good”
PASA: Throughout The Years was created to celebrate the history of CSUF PASA Kaibigan. Here you will find an ongoing collection of photos, video links, stories, and milestones from the 1980's to now taken from Chronicles/Kronicles, PCN program booklets, The Daily Titan, and PASA alumni. This is dedicated to all PASA alumni and current PASA members. Enjoy!
spring 2020
During this semester, Covid-19 changed a lot of things in the world. Specifically for PASA, PCN was postponed and many events and socials were canceled. The campus closed, resulting in a virtual semester, meaning that PASA also went virtual.
Fall 2020
This was the semester of the first virtual Friendship Game. As everyone attended school and club activities through a computer screen, we connected virtually to each other as a community, continuing to create bonds and lasting memories. Virtual socials were full of eager first years, the virtual AKA was full of fun moments and memories, and virtual members retreat was a success. Though we were not there together in person, PASA was together in spirit!
spring 2021
The first virtual PCN was organized this semester, with Jeff Bernat as our headliner.
fall 2021
First semester back on campus! This semester came with lots of new experiences for all members, general and board. As the organization worked together to create and recreate old and new traditions, a stronger bond grew in PASA. The involvement with other cultural organizations also started to grow as members branched off and learned about other cultures, as we grew and support each other as a community. Friendship Games was still virtual to ensure safety for all members. AKA was brought back as an in-person event. This semester was the start of bi-weekly meetings.
spring 2022
PASA brings back PCN in person for the first time since Covid-19 came. This semester was packed with new experiences. KUMU USA worked with PASA as one of its main sponsors, through Jaron Ramos as the main representative. This semester’s cultural presence also skyrocketed as PASA and Bayanihan Kollective become more and more involved as sister organizations. AKA and Mr. PH were both hosted in person this semester as covid-19 restrictions become more lenient. At the end of the semester, P-Grad was reintroduced by Vivien Lorenzo to congratulate fellow peers in our community of their academic achievements.
